From Crisis to Consistent Care
Since 2020, SunRise Forever has provided weekly seafood nourishment to immigrant families across Rhode Island, ensuring access to healthy food with dignity, consistency, and care.
How It Started
In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, SunRise Forever was presented with an urgent opportunity to serve Rhode Island families facing food insecurity. What began as a small weekly fish distribution quickly became a lifeline for immigrant households navigating uncertainty, job loss, and limited access to nutritious food.
As the need grew, so did the program. Through community trust, partnerships, and consistent support, the Seafood Nourishment Program expanded from a temporary response into an ongoing commitment to serve families with dignity and care.
Today, SunRise Forever provides seafood nourishment to more than 950 families every week, helping ensure that families have continued access to healthy food and community support.
